A new stamp in my passport....

I have been given an opportunity to go to Haiti with a relief team from my church. The adventure begins on March 18th and lasts through March 23. The amazing thing is that God has already confirmed in so many ways that this is where He wants me to go. 1. 4 of the 6 days of the trip fall on my Spring Break. 2. I found my passport after it was lost. 3. My district approved the 2 days immediately after break as "paid leave" which isn't typically done. 4. This opportunity is giving me a chance to show my students faith in action. We've had some GREAT conversations!

My church partners with The Global Orphan Project there in Haiti and will be spending the majority of our time at an orphanage that has been inundated with new children and families who have either lost loved ones or have lost their homes. Our team will be doing light medical and first aid, playing group games, doing crafts with the kids at the orphanage, and handing out food, water and clothing.

The estimated cost of the trip is $1950 dollars. My community group at church has committed to raising the first $1500....AMAZING! That only leaves me with $450 to raise. Isn't God good?! If you are interested in giving financially please email me at brookewiens@hotmail.com and express your interest so I can send you the tax deduction form via email.
