Do you ever have days that start out wrong & somehow stay off course the rest of the day?
Or how about a conversation at 8:05 that changes the way you think, view and feel about your position, abilities, and passions?
Today was one of those days. It started great and suddenly veered off course at 8:15
and I was never able to regain control of the careening vehicle of my mind. It brewed frustration, anger, and annoyance. All ugly characteristics and none that I'm proud to possess.
And then I read this in a devotional....Talk about perspective.
"A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance." Proverbs 15:13
A smile costs nothing, but creates much good.
It enriches those who receive it without impoverishing those who give it away.
It happens in a flash, but the memory of it can last forever.
No one is so rich that he can get along without it.
No one is too poor to feel rich when receiving it.
It is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged,
sunshine to the sad and nature's best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen.
