It seems odd to me that Labor Day is celebrated with NO work...seems like we should celebrate the day with our BEST work. I set out to do the things which I knew would help "produce my best work" later in the week. I deemed labor day to be filled with ALL things wonderful. I started my morning by sleeping in til 8:30. Got up, made coffee *see previous blog post*, updated my blog and caught up with my friend Heidi via phone. I got lots of laundry done which was also on my "to do" list for the day. Then it was off to enjoy a coffee frapp from my favorite..The Friendly Bean.
I meandered out to English Landing for a brisk walk

Just can't get enough of being outside, walking along the river, soaking in the beauty. It's relaxing and stirs something deep inside my soul. I LOVE IT!
In the evening, I went over to my parents for dinner. We grilled steaks and had delectable corn on the cob.
It was a great ending to a fabulously relaxing day. I think I could handle 3 day weekends on a regular basis!

Oh my goodness! There is so much that has been happening on your blog!! I love the new fall background! Very lovely! AND... I love the new Alaska picture at the top!!! Even more lovely! I love all the pictures of coffee that this blog has to offer, another reminder of fall! Ahh! That was me wallowing in the last bits of the extended weekend~ even though it is over.
