Yesterday we had our "final" team meeting at PV and then headed downstairs to pack our trunks. It was fun to be able to sort through all the shoes, clothes and diapers that people have so graciously donated for us to take to the Transition Village. I am happy to announce that we have 450 pounds of clothes, shoes, diapers, baby wipes, and formula that are packed and ready to go. Mixed in with that are lots and lots of bubbles, paint, stickers, frisbee's, beads for bracelet making, makeup to treat the Mamma's to a "spa day", nail polish and soccer balls. I can't wait!!!
The posted pictures are of our team working together to get our 8 trunks packed! I was very impressed with our team work. We jumped right in and got the job done! Way to go guys! I can't wait to serve alongside these people!
I read these verses last night before I went to bed and I thought it was so fitting for the events of the day and great verses to pray for our team as we begin to serve side by side! Colosians 3:12-15 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.
Wow! That is so awesome to bring that much stuff to Haiti!! Praying for you in a big way and that God will give you the strength for each and every day! Love you girl!
